Public Meeting with Special Guest Tim Burnley

The public is invited to attend a meeting concerning matters of importance to the White River and its tributaries.
Friends of the North Fork and White Rivers (FOR) will host the event Tuesday,
October 15, at 6 PM, at JoJo's Catfish Wharf. There is no charge to attend, and attendees may order a meal at their expense.
FOR will provide an update on their activities in the watershed, including Landers Island.

Tim Burnley, the Stream Habitat Program Supervisor for the Arkansas Game and Fish
Commission, will address the critical role of riparian buffer management in protecting
the environmental quality of the watershed. His presentation will cover the work that the
Coldwater Habitat Program does with landowners and the permits that may be required,
He will review bank stabilization projects and how their responsible management can
improve fish habitat and look natural after a few years.
