Crosstrail Outfitters are doing the crawfish boil for us. Donald Cranor has donated a half-day, spin fishing guide trip which will be raffled. This is our annual fund-raising event. Tickets are required.
Participants in the Crooked Creek Cleanup Float should be aware that while Crooked Creek generally does not require advanced skills with a paddle, some sections do contain rapidly moving water and/or obstacles. If you are a beginner with a paddle, consider teaming up with a more experienced partner, or simply carry your canoe/kayak around any obstacles you are not comfortable navigating.
Items to bring:
Canoe, kayak, or other personal watercraft
Paddles
Life jackets
Hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, or sun protective clothing
Sturdy river shoes or sandals (flip flops not recommended)
Drinking water
There will be volunteer drivers available to help with shuttles. The float should take 2-4 hours to complete depending on the pace you set. Meeting place and starting point is Kelly's Access 12:00 pm, takeout is Yellville City Park. If you have more questions about the float, please contact Sam Cooke via email at sdcooke22@gmail.com
